From the time Abigail was born I knew she had something special but I had no idea what I felt was real until now. I chose to play 'Gifts of the Angels' cassette tape on the way to meet her after her birth in the hospital where she was being delivered on June 28th 2000. Coming straight from the heart of God into our small world she has helped us learn to love life no matter what is happening to us, to love each other more than we ever knew we could, and to celebrate our own lives simply because we are here. I thought I knew the meaning of love, I did not. I know now.
what about all the things that you said were yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice all the blood we've shed before
did you ever stop to noticethis crying Earth it's weeping shores?
aaaaaaaaaah ooooooooooh
aaaaaaaaaah ooooooooooh
What have we done to the world
look what we've done
what about all the peace
that you pledge your only son?
what about flowering fields, is there a time?
what about all the dreams that you said was yours and mine?
Did you ever stop to notice
all the children dead from war?
did you ever stop to notice, this crying Earth its weeping shores?
aaaaaaaaaah ooooooooooh
aaaaaaaaaah ooooooooooh
I used to dream I used to glance beyond the stars
now I don't know where we are,
although I know we've drifted far
aaaaaaaaaaah oooooooooooh
aaaaaaaaaaah oooooooooooh
aaaaaaaaaaaah ooooooooooooh
aaaaaaaaaaah oooooooooooh
Hey
What about yesterday
(what about us)
what about the Seas?
(what about us)
The heavens are falling down
(what about us)
I can't even breathe
(what about us)
What about everything?
(what about us)
I've given you
(what about us)
What about nature's worth?
(ooooooo)
It's our planet's womb
(what about us)
What about animals
(what about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(what about us)
What about elephants?
(what about us)
Have we lost their trust?
(what about us)
What about crying whales?
(what about us)
We've ravaged the seas
(what about us)
What about forest trails?
(oooooooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(what about us)
What about the Holy land?
(what about it)
Torn apart by creed
(what about us)
What about the common man
(what about us)
Can't we set him free
(what about us)
What about children dying?
(what about us)
Can't you hear them cry?
(what about us)
Where did we go wrong?
(ooooooooo)
Someone tell me why?
(what about us)
What about baby boy?
(what about it)
What about the days?
(what about us)
What about all their joy?
(what about us)
What about the man?
(what about us)
What about the crying man?
(what about us)
what about Abraham?
(what was us)
What about death again?
(oooooooooo)
Do we give a damn
The Redding, CA. clan got together for Turkey dinner at Alan and Jennifer's place on Saturday November 24th. Abbi's parents and brother Blake had Thanksgiving day dinner at Faith Fellowship Church with their friends in the parish. It was better this year for them to be around others and not do a traditional celebration at home. Guests at Saturday's meal: Mom Candice, Dad Dennis, Brother Blake, Uncle Dan, Grandmom Mary, Uncle Alan, and Jennifer who cooked the best Turkey dinner imaginable including a Butterfinger Pie. Abbi was and will forever bethe one who taught us to be thankful for LIFE itself! We thank and we bless Abigail Brianne in her journeys with God and the Angelics!
"A Memorial Celebration for Abbi" Redding Faith Fellowship - October 6th 2012 Abigail Brianne Courtemanche
born June 28, 2000 to Candice and Dennis Courtemanche ...she was called home on September 26, 2012 Abigail was her mother and father's heart's desire. She never shed a tear for her own ailments and had a way of brightening your day instead of complaining about hers. She comforted and cared for her family, and they comforted and cared for her. We will forever cherish our gift from God. We are grateful for her brother Blake, who loves his sissy, was her stem cell donor twice, and misses playing with her so much. Goodbye sweet Angel Abbi until we meet again.
