My kids are on their way home May 3rd on Blake's 8th birthday...!

OMG I just heard that Not only are Abbi's bone marrow tests perfect and 100% free of Leukemia 'blast cells but she is all the way around great in all blood counts with just a 99% in only one area! (not sure which test because her Mom tells me quite rapidly what the Doctors had to say to them)

Go girl! You have a very big Guardian Angel by your side and many prayers, professional energy healers who have done their work on your spirit, and everyone who ever connected with you is sending you their good wishes.  Wow is all I can manage to say...FAITH is REAL and so is the POWER of GOD.  My kids are on their way HOME for at least a 3 week visit!

Abigail Has Spontaneous Remission In May 2012!

Abbi's Mom says:
Here is an awesome update on Abbi, the bone marrow biopsy (done last week of April and reported to Candice this week of May 1st, 2012) showed no trace of leukemia cells, IT WAS NEGATIVE! the doctor said i don't know how but it is negative! We know how! Thank you to everyone praying and continuing to pray, we are definitely not out of the woods but this is a victory for us at this point keep up the prayers.

A beautiful young lady in the fight of her life...

Abigail has been very busy having bone marrow testing, dental work, and more donor lymphocytes to help her over this part of the procedure she has endured since the first week of January 2012. I don't know if she is ready to face more treatments or she has just been keeping occupied what between her hospital trips, dentist days, Easter celebration at Koret Family House or her trips to the Museums and shopping around San Francisco, California. One thing we do know id that she is perpetually in a zone of happiness because she does have a very close bond with her brother Blake, her Dad Dennis, her Mother Candice, Grandpa Rick, Grandma Kate, Aunt Melanie, Aunt Becky, Uncle Chris, Cousin Amara Lark, or Aunt Helen, Aunt Marsha,  Uncle Eric, Aunt Jen, and Uncle Dan, her Cousins Emily and Alex. There are many friends and family who are out in the greater areas also including her Great Grandma Mary and Grandpop Jack O'Grady and many more Aunts and Uncles and Cousins whom she has not met. God Bless Abigail Brianne Courtemanche  because we all love her very much and wish her lollipops, cotton candy, and alot of rock music videos of Justin Beiber!

8,000,000 lymphocytes here they come...

Abbi got her big 8,000,000 lymphocyte cell infusion, the last one she got was last May and that was 1,000,000, so big risk of causing the GVHD. They have more frozen so this is not our last chance, they say they have more tricks, it is just that this is such a nasty disease but her attitude is great. They even talk about T- cell stimulation drugs. So in 2 to 3 weeks if she does not get GVHD they will go up on the dose of lymphocytes and give her another infusion. I will keep u updated, God I  just pray you make it possible for Abbi to develop graft vs host disease.

AMEN
Mom Candice.

Abigail just before 2008 diagnosis
  •  Here is the update, Abbi's ANC is 470 reaching 500 hopefully by tomorrow. they have stopped the prograf, the med that was preventing , to hopefully trigger GVHD. she is doing good. ready to get a break from this hospital, like i have said depending on the severity of the graft vs host disease she could be readmitted. or be treated outpatient but stay close to hospital. if she doesn't get the GVHD soon, probably a few weeks, they will give her a big donor lymphocyte infusion. all prayers to be for her getting GVHD and no leukemia cells in her bone marrow biopsy. i read a story last night about a child who had myelodysplastic syndrome like Abbi, and his turned to AML within days of diagnosis. he had a couple rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant from his sister, that was in 1999, he developed GVHD and went into remission, the moms last post was in 2004 and he was still cleared of disease, just more reassurance that this is possible. i will let you all know when she is discharged. Abbi is doing good, her bone marrow is starting...

...to produce new cells. slower than last time, but last time was actually really fast, this is more normal. her neutrophils are 220 they need to be 500 for more than 3 days and they can discharge her only to go to family house and get a break, then god willing get graft vs host disease and come back to hospital depending on the severity. she is so ready to be out of here.
Abbi's neutrophils went from 380 on Monday to 250 yesterday to 470 today, oh the frustrating fluctuation of blood cells, they have stopped the prograf, that is the med to prevent gvhd, cold turkey to hopefully trigger GVHD. and she could be discharged this weekend. she at least needs a break from the hospital before she comes back with GVHV!  Mom Candie
